Job Responsibilities

As an assistant project manager in our unit, you will assist the project manager in leading projects and sub-projects within marine command systems on vessels. This may involve procuring new systems and maintaining older ones in areas such as navigation, communication, sensors, and combat management systems. Project teams will consist of 5-15 participants, each with their unique expertise.

Your responsibilities will include assisting in planning, leading, developing, and following up on the project work carried out in the project teams, as well as supporting the follow-up of finances and procurements in the project. You will also step in as project manager when the regular one is absent.

You will analyze, evaluate, and report on project documents and provide recommendations for decisions. This role has many points of contact, both internally within FMV and with suppliers and other stakeholders.

The position is based in Stockholm. Travel is a natural part of the job, both domestically and internationally.

Experience with project planning tools, such as MS Project, is also an advantage. Experience in negotiations is also meritorious. We also appreciate if you have previously worked in a government agency within the defense sector.

As a person, you work well with others and facilitate dialogue smoothly. You can maintain your composure and focus on the right things even when the situation is stressful.
